On this 10 days Balkan Tour journey we will travel from Skopje, Capital of North Macedonia, trough Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia and finish in Zagreb – Capital of Croatia. You will be traveling in modern vehicle with English speaking Driver/Guide from first till last day, plus for the city tours we organized local Tour guides that will prestent you their hometowns.
ITINERARY:
Day I – Skopje Arrival
We start the tour from Skopje airport or any other location you state as pick up location in Skopje. Meet and greet by our driver/guide who will take you to city center where we meet with profesional tour guide. Start walking tour – including Stone Bridge, Old Bazaar, Old Rail Station, Mustafa-Pasha Mosque, Daut Pasin Hamam, from the XV century and the monument of Mother Teresa. After walking tour you will have free time for exploring before we thae you to hotel for Check in. Rest of the day is free and easy. Overnight in Skopje
Day 2 – Skopje – Ohrid
Breakfast at hotel and check out. Proceed to Ohrid. Upon arrival we meet with local guide city tour – visit Zeynel Abedin Pasha Tekke, Samuels fortress, St Sofia Monastery, Pearl shop, Old paper factory, entrance gates to the old town and Ohrid lake. After tour you will have free time for exploring the town. Check in hotel. Overnight in Ohrid
Day 3 – Ohrid – Tirana – Budva
Breakfast at hotel and check out hotel. Proceed to Tirana (+/- 140km : +/- 3Hours). Proceed to walking tour of Tirana – visit Mosque of Ethem Bey, the Clock Tower, the National Museum, Mother Theresa square, famous Bunkers and spend some time for shopping. Continue to Budva. Upon arrival we Check in hotel and overnight.
Day 4 – Budva – Dubrovnik – Neum
Breakfast at hotel and check out. Proceed to city tour through old town Budva. Transfer to Dubrovnik (+/- 120km : +/- 2Hours). Arrival Dubrovnik, and Visit the Old Town, the Game of Thrones sights, Sponze and Rectors palaces, Old Pharmacy. Free time for exploring. Continue to Neum. Check in hotel. Overnight
Day 5 – Neum – Mostar
Breakfast at hotel. Check out hotel. Transfer to Mostar (+/- 100km : +/- 2 Hours). Stop at Kravice waterfalls; Pocitelj – old city fortress built during the Ottoman era; Blagaj – Buna River spring. Proceed walk through the Dervish Monastery (tekke) then continue journey to Mostar. Upon arrival Mostar, visit Old town. Free time. Overnight
Day 6 – Mostar – Sarajevo
Breakfast at hotel. Check out. We continue our journey to Sarajevo. On the way we visit Neretva river canyon, Jablanica town and Konjic. After visiting these sights we will continue to Sarajevo. Upon arrival check in hotel and rest of the day will be free.
Day 7 – Sarajevo
Breakfast at hotel.Proceed for tour to visit Vrelo Bosne – spring of river Bosnia, Tunnel museum – the only means of going in and out during the siege of Sarajevo in last war. Walking tour of old town Bascarsija, Latin bridge, place where the Austro Hungarian Archduke was assassinated, what triggered the 1st World War; Brusa bezistan – covered market place; Gazi Husref Bey Mosque- built in 1530 year during the Ottoman era – and Gazi Husref Bey Madrass; Morica han built in 1551 ; Vijecnica – town hall for the Austro-Hungarian era. Afternoon, free for shopping. Back to hotel.
Day 8 – Sarajevo – Travnik – Jajce – Bihac
Breakfast at hotel. Continue our journey to North Bosnia region. On the way we will visit Travnik town with beautiful fortress and Colorfull mosque. Continue to Jajce for visit of Waterfall and Pliva lakes with wooden watermills. Arrive Bihac. Overnight.
Day 9 – Bihac – Plitvice – Zagreb
Breakfast at hotel. Visit Plitvice National park with 16 lakes cascading one to another makes it one of the oldest UNESCO protected natural sights. Continue to Zagreb. overnight
Day 10 – Zagreb Departure
Breakfast at hotel. Check out and free time at own leisure for last minute shopping. **Luggage will be at reception. Transfer to airport for flight departure back..

Tour Mage is excellence in action!! May 2024 • Couples Perfect! That is how I can best describe dealing with Elvis and Tour Mage. I was looking for a tour operator that could deliver a highly customized 10-day tour of the Balkans (Slovenia, Croatia as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina). After extensive research I settled on Tour Mage. Following initial discussion, Elvis provided a comprehensive proposal and once we agreed he delivered on every aspect of the proposal and MORE! It is understandable to be a little nervous when you pay a large sum of money upfront to someone you are unfamiliar with for a multi-day tour including costs for hotels, transportation, guides, and other expenses. There is no concern with Tour Mage, this is an exceptional company to deal with. We are seasoned travelers, and I can say this is the best we have ever been looked after. The individualized tours, the selection and overall quality of hotels as well as the itinerary were all excellent. For us, it was our guide Zulfo that made this journey truly special. He was with us every step of the way and managed every detail. He was far more than an excellent driver and an extremely conscientious personal assistant, he is an exceptional person and became like family. It was not easy saying good-bye. We will never forget this exceptional experience.

Memorable BalkanTour This was my first trip with my 3 Bruneian and 18 Malaysians friends. Our tour guide, Elvis, was very experienced and knowledgeable on the history of Balkans.
