About Tour Package
Our 15-day Balkan tour is the grand journey through six Balkan countries: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania and North Macedonia. It starts in Ljubljana and ends in Skopje, and covers almost every highlight of the region in one unhurried trip.
In Slovenia you ride a traditional pletna boat on Lake Bled and visit the Postojna Caves. In Croatia you explore Zagreb and Plitvice Lakes, and later Split and Dubrovnik. In Bosnia you travel through Jajce and Travnik to Sarajevo, then to Konjic, Mostar and the gems of Herzegovina. Montenegro brings you Budva and Kotor, Albania the castle town of Kruja and Tirana, and North Macedonia a boat ride on Lake Ohrid and a final day in Skopje.
Accommodation in 4-star hotels with breakfast, an English-speaking driver, local guides in the main cities and entrance fees on the itinerary are included. Changes to the itinerary are possible, and the tour can also be booked as a private Balkan tour.

Arrive in Ljubljana. Known for Assassination that triggered World War I, 1984 winter Olympics and siege in 90s. Proceed to Herzegovina region. First town to visit in Konjic where we stop for pictures at XVII century ottoman bridge. Drive next to Lakes and Canyon of Neretva river- one of the most beautiful roads and reach Mostar for guided tour in UNESCO old town. Here we cross the Old bridge and enjoy free time in bazaarOvernight in MostarAfter breakfast we visit the most important sights in Herzegovina. First we drive and visit Kravica waterfall, larges and most beautiful waterfall in this region. Later we stop at medieval stone town Pocitelj. Macedonia My husband and I had a fantastic tour through the Balkans with Tour Mage and our guide/driver Edis. Even with only two of us booked, the tour went ahead. We never expected a private tour! The hotels were excellent, the travel by car very comfortable and we appreciated the free time in each city. Using local guides to show us their city gave us a much better feel for the culture and community. Elvis was very responsive to all aspects of the booking process. Edis was a wonderful guide - knowledgeable, flexible and helpful (even delivering us some dinner when the hotel restaurant in Bihac was closed!). If you want to experience the Balkans in the best possible way, we recommend Tour Mage.

June 26, 2019Ljubljana to Thessaloniki Tripadvisor review: 15 Days Balkan Tour -Slovenia Croatia Bosnia Montenegro Albania N. Macedonia Elvis of Tour Mage designed this 23-day private tour from Ljubljana, Slovenia, to Thessaloniki in Greece for my wife and me after we had informed him of our preferred travel style and specific interests ; the custom-package he came up with was amazing. He assigned his very best driver, Amer, to accompany us in his Mercedes E-Class. Amer looked after us as if we were his family. During the 5,000km trip he bent over backwards to make sure we were comfortable and had the best possible experience ; we stopped wherever we liked and made detours if there was anything of interest, even if this was not part of "the program". This type of private tour obviously comes at a higher cost than group travel ; but the benefits of flexibility, personal attention and maximum comfort more than make up for the extra marginal expense and I consider this package great value for money. I have no hesitation to recommend Elvis' Tour Mage services to anybody looking to travel to The Balkans - we will certainly use them again ! Thank you Elvis and warm greetings to Amer !
